Created in the contemporary era by me, this one-of-a-kind pendant features a dark antiqued woven texture and a pointed leaf-shaped silhouette framing a cracked turquoise-dyed howlite focal.
This one-of-a-kind pendant features a polished howlite cabochon, known for its clean white surface and delicate, smoke-grey veining that mimics the look of fine marble. The stone is held securely within a hand-formed copper wire wrap that has been oxidized to a deep, chocolatey patina and then polished to highlight the raised textures. Above the stone, the copper is shaped into two elegant, symmetrical scrolls that lead into a broad, vertically-ribbed bail, giving the piece a balanced and substantial feel. The contrast between the turquoise blue stone and the dark, warm metal creates a sophisticated aesthetic.
This pendant is a versatile addition to any collection, offering a minimalist yet artisanal vibe. It pairs beautifully with monochromatic outfits—try it over a charcoal grey sweater or a simple black shift dress to let the blue stone pop. For a more relaxed, bohemian look, it can be styled with denim and a white linen shirt. Because howlite is a naturally neutral stone, this piece acts as a foundational accessory that can be layered with other copper jewelry or worn alone as a quiet statement of handcrafted elegance.
