1920s Puzzle Peg Game, Lubbers & Bell. Box measures 7" by 7". Good condition. Complete but 2 of the pegs are different. Instructions are on the box cover. Box is in used condition.

This 1920s Puzzle Peg game is a classic example of a mid-century "brain teaser," manufactured by the Lubbers & Bell Mfg. Co. in Clinton, Iowa. Originally introduced as an educational game for "Young and Old," this one-player strategy puzzle challenges your logic by having you jump one peg over another to remove it, with the ultimate goal of leaving just one solitary peg in the center hole.

The set features a 6.5-inch circular wooden game board and its original graphic box, which famously depicts a wise owl against a moonlit sky. While this set is complete for play, please note that two of the pegs are different from the rest. The instructions are conveniently printed on the box cover, making it easy to learn the "genius" status strategy. This is a fantastic piece for collectors of antique American games or anyone who enjoys the timeless challenge of peg solitaire.

This item is antique, over 100 years old. While it appears to be in good condition, the box shows wear consistent with its age and use. While it appears to be in good condition, there is the possibility I may have missed a minor detail. In the unlikely event I missed a major flaw I would reach out prior to sending it.
