Vintage Lefton Ceramic Pair of Male and Female Wall Hangings. They measure about 5.5" in height. Good condition. The male has a small chip and there is rubbing of the gold on both.

This classic pair of Lefton ceramic wall hangings captures the refined grace of the Colonial Revival era. Each plaque features a figure in traditional 18th-century dress—a lady in a voluminous gown and a gentleman in a tailored frock coat and breeches. The high-relief bisque porcelain gives the figures a three-dimensional quality, while the ornate scrolled borders are accented with delicate gold gilt. These pieces represent the elegant, decorative style that Lefton was known for during the mid-century period, often imported from Japan to grace the walls of sophisticated American homes.

These plaques are a perfect fit for a Dark Academia study or library, where their classical silhouettes and aged white finish can complement dark wood shelving and vintage portraits. While they show the gentle wear and character expected of authentic mid-century ceramics, including some softening of the gold accents, they remain a charming set for any collector of period-style decor. Their petite size makes them ideal for filling a small niche or as part of a larger, curated gallery wall arrangement.

This item is vintage, approximately 70 years old.
