Vintage 1970s Betty Crocker Recipe Box with Recipes and Extras. Case measures 6" in height by 9 1/4" wide. The case is in poor condition, the lid comes off. It is filled with recipes. I do not know if all the original cards are in it but it also incudes tons of magazine recipe cut out as well as lots of hand written recipes. It's interesting to go through.
This vintage 1970s Betty Crocker recipe box is a true time capsule of culinary history, standing 6 inches high and measuring 9 1/4 inches wide. While the case shows its age and the lid has become detached, the real treasure lies within its jam-packed interior. It features a unique mix of the iconic 1971-era Betty Crocker recipe cards, which were famous for their full-color photography on one side and "step-by-step" instructions on the reverse.
Beyond the original set, this particular box is a "living" collection, filled with dozens of magazine clippings and handwritten family recipes added by the previous owner. These extras offer an intimate look into personal tastes of the era, from holiday specialties to everyday comfort foods. It is a fantastic resource for food historians, junk journalers seeking authentic ephemera, or anyone looking to rediscover the "fantastic" flavors of the seventies.
This item is vintage, approximately 50 to 55 years old. While it appears to be in the poor condition stated with the lid detached, there is the possibility I may have missed a minor detail. In the unlikely event I missed a major flaw I would reach out prior to sending it.
