Vintage Guiseppe Armani Maternity with Flowers 9 1/2" Statue/Figurine. Made in the 1980s. Measures 9 1/2" in height with a 5 1/2" wooden base. Very good condition. The base has a few scratches.
This sophisticated sculpture, titled "Maternal," was created by the renowned artist Giuseppe Armani in Florence, Italy, in 1992. Known for his exceptional ability to capture emotion and fluid movement, Armani crafted this piece from high-quality "biscuit" porcelain, which provides a smooth, matte finish that highlights every delicate detail of the mother’s gaze and the infant's form. The figurine is elegantly mounted on a substantial 5.5-inch wide dark wooden base, featuring a polished mahogany-style finish that provides a beautiful contrast to the white porcelain.
Standing 9.5 inches tall, this statue bears the "N" Capodimonte mark, signifying its high-quality porcelain origin from Italy, and includes the artist’s signature and the 1992 Florence date stamp on the base. This timeless piece is a meaningful gift for a new mother or a striking addition to a collection of fine Italian art. It captures a universal moment of tenderness and devotion, rendered with the grace and elegance that made Armani’s work world-famous.
This item is vintage, over 20 years old. While the item appears to be in excellent condition, there is the possibility I may have missed a minor detail. If I missed a major flaw, I would reach out prior to sending it.
