To commemorate the milestone (1902–2002), the bear features elegant gold thread embroidery on its dark green velvet foot pads: the left paw reads "Teddy Bear" and the right paw reads "100th Anniversary." This interactive bear is designed to speak when its paw is pressed, sharing the history of how the teddy bear was named after the 26th President of the United States. It requires 3 AA batteries (not included) which are easily inserted into the battery pack located in the back.
