Vintage Bride Doll. Measures about 30" in height. Seems to have a foam core. Hair is messy and the veil is pinned in the back. She has piered ears but the earrings have fallen out. Includes her shows that won't stay on her. Good condition. The box will be long for her as she does not easily bend.
A beautiful bride from a bygone era, this large walking doll from the 1950s is a wonderful piece for any collector. At an impressive 30 inches tall, she is a classic example of mid-century doll making. When you guide her legs to "walk," her head turns from side to side in a charming motion.
This doll features a hard plastic body with a vinyl head, pretty blue "sleep eyes" that open and close, and rooted auburn hair. A special detail is her pierced ears, awaiting a new pair of earrings. Her wedding attire consists of a satin gown with a delicate lace overlay on the skirt, sheer lace sleeves, and a simple satin ribbon at the waist. She comes with her original veil and slip-on shoes.
This doll is in good vintage condition but shows signs of her long life and is priced accordingly. Her curly hair is messy and could use some styling, and her veil is currently pinned in place. As noted, her original earrings are missing. She comes with her original shoes, though they are loose and do not stay on her feet well. She is a perfect candidate for a little TLC or a wonderful restoration project.
This lovely bride would be an excellent gift for a collector of 1950s dolls, a unique decorative piece for a shabby chic-inspired room, or a beautiful prop for photography.
Please note, at 30 inches tall, this doll does not bend easily and will require a long box for safe shipping.
This item is vintage, over 70 years old. While it appears to be in good condition, there may be minor imperfections that I missed.
