Vintage 1956 Hand Painted Wood Plate: Scandinavian Folk Art, Grapevine Decor

1956 Hand Painted Wooden Decor Plate. Measures about 14". Very good condition. No wall hanging hook.

This is a large and meaningful piece of vintage Scandinavian folk art, hand-painted and dated 1956. The wooden plate is decorated with a beautiful wreath of grapevines, featuring clusters of grapes in shades of blue, red, and green. In the center, a lovely script reads, "Jeg er Vintræet, I er Grenene." This Norwegian phrase translates to the well-known Bible verse from John 15:5, "I am the vine, you are the branches."

Measuring approximately 14 inches in diameter, this substantial plate makes a wonderful statement piece. It is perfect for display on a wall, in a hutch, or as a large charger plate in the center of a dining table. Please note, it does not have a hook on the back for hanging.
