Vintage Framed Apsara dancers on Rice Paper. Measures 15 x 11 3/4" framed. Very good condition. The image seems a bit crooked but I'm sure that could be adjusted. The frame has minor scratches.

Add a touch of global history to your gallery wall with this vintage framed rice paper rubbing depicting three celestial Apsara dancers. This piece is created using a traditional charcoal or ink rubbing technique over handmade rice paper, capturing the beautiful, fluid movements of these mythical figures as seen in ancient Khmer stone carvings. The central dancer is elevated on a lotus pedestal, flanked by two supporting dancers, all adorned in highly detailed traditional headdresses, tiered jewelry, and flowing garments.

In Cambodian and Hindu mythology, Apsaras are elegant, supernatural beings who inhabit the sky and represent the spirit of dance and clouds. Measuring 15" x 11 3/4" in its frame, this artwork offers a striking high-contrast aesthetic that works beautifully in eclectic, bohemian, or traditional interiors. The black-on-white imagery emphasizes the geometric precision and cultural symbolism of Southeast Asian temple art, making it a thoughtful gift for world travelers, historians, or art collectors.

This item is vintage, approximately 30 to 40 years old. While it appears to be in the very good condition stated, the image is currently slightly crooked within the mounting and the frame has minor scratches. There is the possibility I may have missed a minor detail. In the unlikely event I missed a major flaw, I would reach out prior to sending it.
