Vintage Wooden African Figure. Measures 14.5" in height. Very good condition. I noticed a small crack on the base, see photo.

This vintage African tribal sculpture is an expressive example of mid-century ethnographic art, likely originating from East Africa or the Maasai region. Standing at an impressive 14.5 inches, the figure is hand-carved from a single piece of dense hardwood and features authentic traditional adornments, including a natural feather headpiece and delicate white beadwork.

The piece showcases characteristic elongated proportions and a rich, dark finish often associated with ebonized hardwoods. The inclusion of mixed media, such as the colorful orange pigment on the loincloth and the organic feathers, adds a unique dimension to this display piece, making it a striking addition to a collection of global art or a mantel.

This item is vintage, over 20 years old. While it appears to be in very good condition, there is a small age-related crack on the base as noted in the photos, and there is the possibility I may have missed a minor detail. In the unlikely event I missed a major flaw I would reach out prior to sending it.
