Vintage Kay Finch Grumpy Pig Figure. Measures about 6" in height by nearly 7 1/4" long. Very good condition. Nose has a nicks and has crazing, see photo.

This rare and highly collectible mid-century figurine is an authentic piece by the celebrated California studio potter Kay Finch. Known as the "Grumpy Pig," this character is a prime example of Finch's whimsical and expressive animal designs that made her Corona del Mar studio famous from the late 1930s through the 1960s. The pig features her signature stylized aesthetic, with long eyelashes, a pouting snout, and a beautiful hand-painted floral spray across its back.

Measuring approximately 6 inches in height and 7 1/4 inches in length, this substantial ceramic figure is finished in a high-gloss glaze that has developed a delicate, authentic crazing pattern over time. Kay Finch ceramics are prized by collectors for their unique personality and "California Pottery" charm. This piece remains in very good condition, showcasing the vibrant pink and yellow hues that have made her work a staple of mid-century decor. Please note the small nicks on the nose and the natural crazing as shown in the photographs, which are characteristic of authentic vintage earthenware of this age.

This item is vintage, over 60 years old. While it appears to be in very good condition, there is the possibility I may have missed a minor detail. In the unlikely event I missed a major flaw I would reach out prior to sending it.
